A Comparative Analysis of Architectural Styles in the Historical Buildings of Urmia: A Historical- Architectural Approach

This article examines and compares the architectural styles employed in the historical buildings of Urmia. Given Urmia's geographical location and tumultuous history, the city has witnessed a fusion of various architectural styles throughout different historical periods. This review study, aiming to identify and comparatively analyze these styles, provides an introduction to the importance of preserving and understanding the architectural heritage of this region. In this regard, by examining the physical characteristics, decorations, and materials in prominent examples, an effort has been made to extract common patterns and distinguishing features of the styles.
