چکیده مقاله:

Background: Anemia is a common medical condition characterized by reduced hemoglobin levels and decreased oxygen carrying capacity of the blood, often leading to fatigue, weakness, and reduced physical performance. These symptoms can negatively affect daily functioning and overall quality of life. Exercise training has been increasingly considered as a supportive strategy to improve physical capacity and health outcomes in individuals with anemia. Methods: This review examines studies investigating the effects of exercise training in individuals with anemia. Various exercise modalities, including aerobic exercise, resistance training, and combined programs, were analyzed. Outcomes of interest included aerobic capacity, fatigue levels, hemoglobin concentration, muscular strength, and overall functional performance. Results: Evidence suggests that appropriately prescribed exercise training can improve physical fitness and functional capacity in patients with anemia. Aerobic exercise has been associated with improvements in cardiovascular efficiency and endurance, while resistance training may enhance muscular strength and reduce fatigue. Some studies also indicate modest improvements in hemoglobin levels and oxygen utilization following regular exercise interventions. The benefits of exercise appear to depend on the severity of anemia, exercise intensity, and individual health status. Conclusion: Structured and supervised exercise training may serve as a beneficial complementary approach for individuals with anemia by improving physical capacity, reducing fatigue, and enhancing overall well being. However, exercise programs should be carefully tailored to the individual’s medical condition and conducted under professional guidance to ensure safety and effectiveness.
