With increasing coastal development and limited onshore space, soil slopes have become a sustainable and economical solution for protecting ports and surrounding areas. In marine environments, these slopes are subjected to water level fluctuations and surface erosion, requiring accurate numerical analysis and suitable reinforcement measures. In this study, numerical modeling was used to investigate the effect of geogrid reinforcement on slope performance. The results showed that the axial stiffness and tensile strength of geogrids reduce soil deformation and improve slope stability. In addition, variations in geogrid arrangement were found to influence the sliding potential of the system. Overall, the findings confirm the effectiveness of geogrid reinforcement in enhancing both the safety and economic efficiency of coastal protection structures.
