چکیده مقاله:

This study examines the impact of Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) on the wear and corrosion resistance of recycled CK۴۵ steel. The research investigates the effectiveness of SPS in enhancing the durability and longevity of materials subjected to harsh operating conditions. Machining chips from CK۴۵ steel were processed using SPS at various conditions to explore the relationship between sintering parameters and the mechanical properties of the sintered samples. Wear resistance was evaluated through pin-on-disk tests, while corrosion resistance was assessed using electrochemical techniques. Results revealed a significant improvement in both wear and corrosion resistance after SPS treatment. The sintering process not only refined the microstructure, but also led to the formation of protective phases that contributed to a substantial reduction in wear rates and a marked decrease in corrosion rates. The findings highlight the potential of SPS as an efficient method to enhance the performance of recycled materials, making them suitable for high-demand applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, where both wear and corrosion resistance are critical.
