Avatar ۱ Vs. Avatar ۲ : From Artistic to Commercial

Avatar ۱ and ۲ directed by James Cameron are visual narrations of man's journeys to the planet Pandora to obtain its precious resources. The missions cannot be accomplished unless the accommodation of indigenous people are displaced and their nature is destroyed. The first mission is peopled by mercenary troops and a number of scientists. Jake Sully is sent into the aborigines’ community via the “avatar,” to convince them to surrender peacefully. The plan fails and the war between intruders and inhabitants causes environmental damage and oppression to the resisting people. Jake's loves for Neytiri and noble culture of aborigines inspire him to make journey from his human body to his avatar. Avatar ۲ deals mainly with the persecution of Sully in marine area of the planet by Earth men due to his role in the conquest of colonizers in their first mission. While Avatar۱ projects a spectrum of socio-political and scientific concerns of modern man. Avatar ۲, in contrast, reduces interpretive issues to a commercial action film. Nonetheless, both the films are cast into genres of science fiction, cyberpunk or even neo-noir to signify the determining role of virtual world in the future of mankind.
