چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Childhood cancer is categorized the leading cause of non-accidental death in children, and survivors often face challenges that prevent them from attending school. Supportive care approaches have been developed to address these challenges, but accessing services can be difficult for rural communities. Tele-medicine helps reduce this barrier by providing support through telecommunication platforms, digital apps, video games, and other means.Method: A systematic search was conducted in databases such as PubMed and Scopus databases using keywords including “cancer”, “children with cancer”,” school”, “supportive care” and “tele-medicine” Result: School reintegration training programs usually focus on educating participants about the illness, its effects on the student, and the necessary care that will be required. These programs may target the patient, their parents, school staff, or peers. In this context, tele-medicine is a preferred option for many school-aged patients due to physical disabilities, transportation burdens, etc. Telehealth delivery methods encompass a variety of options, such as telephone consultations, email communication, mobile health applications, social media platforms, videoconferencing services, text messaging, active video gaming platforms, and websites that would enable healthcare and psychological visits despite distancing measures. Conclusion: Challenges in the process of returning to school in childhood cancer survivors would be managed better by applying the approaches of supportive care. With the advancement of digital technologies in the modern era, SC services have become more achievable and the effectiveness of existing approaches has increased. Additionally, utilizing tele-medicine in medical and psychological cares implies affirmative consequences compared by in-person visits due to the studies.
