It appears vital to assess the functioning of lifelines, such as water networks, given the many socialand economic consequences that arise from the cessation of lifelines services under various dangers.Assessing the network's reliability and performance metrics is crucial to figuring out how to lessen theharm caused by calamities like earthquakes. We investigate the seismic reliability of the waternetwork under the combined effect of earthquake and corrosion, taking into account Iran's highseismicity, the buried pipe network's vulnerability, and the fact that the corrosion phenomenon doublesthe seismic damage to the network. Afterward, through reliability sensitivity analysis, networkinspection and rehabilitation plans and their periodicity are presented. The proposed approach isemployed in the gas, oil, and power industries and can be expanded to include any kind of lifelinenetwork.
