چکیده مقاله:
Selecting Bridge Structural System is the most important design part of a structure like a bridge as an infrastructure. The designing process is usually based on a Consultant Engineer’s elegance. This important decision mostly is derived from, a few main Priorities as criteria, such as: Project cost, Construction Duration, Traffic limitation (especially in urban zones), Deck length between two piers, Passive defense capability and Maintenance costs separately. These criteria which make bridge structural system interesting for the project client as a managerial item, do not have any influence on each other. Namely, these items do not interact in equally or relatively to each other. Mathematical relations between priorities help the designer to decide better and make the decision much more clearly for third party experts. In engineering concepts there are different approaches to weight the priority terms and make proper decision on their basis, from which we can name AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process)-Geometric Mean approach as main jist , that help us to have a good overview on the subject. In this paper by means of suitable primary data of different projects and experienced experts, the raw data of each priority such as cost, traffic limitation, and etc. in each different bridge structural system are obtained. Then by using AHP approach the best decision for a sample project can take place. At the end it can be concluded for an arbitrary project, how Bridge Structural System has been chosen.
