چکیده مقاله:

Exhaled breath acetone has been identified as a diabetes biomarker for non-invasive diagnosis. Its detection using biosensors has many advantages over conventional tools. This article reviews the recent literature on breath acetone and acetone vapor detection in diabetic subjects. Biosensors are classified based on transduction methods. The functional characteristics of the biosensors are investigated for comparison. Future trends are also highlighted.
