چکیده مقاله:

Piles are commonly employed in loose soils to reduce settlement and increase the load-bearing capacity bytransmitting vertical loads to deeper layers. However, recent observations have shown that in loose soilswith a high groundwater level, liquefaction may occur during an earthquake. However, a review of thetechnical literature shows that the majority of the stress applied on the pile body as a result of lateralspreading has been well studied. However, this phenomenon happens after the liquefaction of the soil andthe end of the earthquake. This article evaluates the impact of pile modulus and cross-sectional area on thestress applied during an earthquake. To confirm the validity of the numerical modeling results, the liquefiedsoil conditions of Port Island and the Kobe earthquake were utilized. Based on the results, it was discoveredthat as the modulus and cross-sectional area of a pile increased, it also increased the applied stress, but aconstant amount is usually given for the stress caused by lateral spreading, independent of the pile's modulusand diameter
