چکیده مقاله:

Violence against women, and especially domestic violence against women, is a violation of human rights that is often overlooked by legal systems. In addition, important measures on violence against women have recently been taken nationally and internationally. Governments have developed effective policies in this area and enacted important legal regulations . Despite these developments, the inadequacy of legal regulations at the national level, the problems that arise in the implementation of these regulations, indicate that more effective legal regulations should meet the standards set by international instruments in cases such as prevention of violence against women and the most common type. Domestic violence against women and support for victims of violence There is widespread public belief in this requirement. The Istanbul Convention obliges the signatory states to enact laws to combat violence against women, domestic violence, rape in marriage, and any form of harassment or discrimination against women . Critics of Turkey's withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention see the move as a seal of approval for women as second-class citizens and move the country away from the values and principles of the European Union. The aim of this study was to examine in detail the concepts of violence against women and domestic violence against women and the forms of reflection of such violence in international documents and evaluations in this field .
