چکیده مقاله:
Nowadays, as people spend more time indoors, it is crucial to provide comfortable conditions. This can be achieved by using proper air conditioning systems for various environments. The Confluent Jets Ventilation (CJV) system is a HVAC system that can provide occupants with high indoor air quality. The present study conducts an experiment to assess the capability of the confluent jets ventilation system to provide thermal comfort and fresh air to the occupants of an indoor environment. In this study, we designed a vertical CJV system to investigate the thermal sensation and thermal comfort of this system for two inlet air temperatures of ۱۲℃ and ۱۶℃. The study evaluated the system performance by reporting the averaged thermal sensation of ۸ subjects for their head, hand, chest, leg, and the whole body. According to the findings, the mentioned ventilation system leads to a significant decrease in thermal sensation in the subjects' legs, resulting in thermal local discomfort at the feet. The vertical confluent jets ventilation system can maintain comfort conditions by setting the inlet air temperature to ۱۶°C. Therefore, by controlling the temperature of the air, the local thermal discomfort of the body parts could be prevented.
