Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause ofdeath worldwide. Despite progress made in detection and managementthrough surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy theincidence of this cancer is increasing. Therefore, it is crucial tounderstand molecular biomarkers like long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs). Biomarkers are a key tool in early detection, prognostication,survival, and predicting treatment response. In particular,LncRNA, can have the role as biomarkers in a range ofcancers including colorectal cancer.In this study, we aimed toinvestigate LncRNA SPATA۳-AS۱ expression as a biomarkerfor early detection of colorectal cancer.Materials and Methods: GEO site was checked for LncRNAselection using microarray analysis. Then ENCORI and GEPIA۲databases were checked and p.value and survival testwere determined. Lncbase and Reactome databases were evaluatedto find the interaction of selected LncRNA and microRNAsand pathways in which are involved.Results: Based on GEO and Reactom analysis LncRNA SPATA۳-AS۱ was selected as a potential biomarker in colorectalcancer. Results showed LncRNA SPATA۳-AS۱ has interactionwith hsa-miR-۳۶۷۹-۵p, hsa-miR-۶۷۱-۵p and hsa-miR-۹۲b-۳p.The ENCORI site and log FC parameter showed that LncRNASPATA۳-AS۱ has significant changes in the colorectal cancersamples compared to adjacent control samples.Conclusion: According to our results LncRNA SPATA۳-AS۱could be a significant prognosis and diagnosis biomarkers incolorectal cancer patients
