Conclusion: SLC۱۲A۵-AS۱ may be a new therapeutic targetfor the prevention and early identification of CRC. With morethan ۱.۲ million new cases each year, colorectal cancer (CRC)is one of the most prevalent malignancies, ranking third in cancermorbidity and second in cancer mortality globally. Mostmalignancies cannot be accurately detected in their early stages.Despite the availability of numerous therapeutic approaches, includingas surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and targeted medications,their efficacy is still constrained. Overall, malignantmalignancies have a poor prognosis. The mechanisms underlyingmalignant malignancies must be further studied, and newbiomarkers and targets must be investigated in order to replaceexisting ones with ones that are more sensitive and efficient for the early detection, treatment, and prognosis of cancers. Therefore,the use of molecular biomarkers is appropriate for earlydiagnosis and CRC patient prognosis. The potential of LncRNASLC۱۲A۵-AS۱ as a diagnostic biomarker in CRC patients wasinvestigated in the current study.Materials and Methods: RNA-RNA and protein–protein interactionanalyses, using ENCORI and STRING, the expressionanalyses by microarray data analysis, TCGA data analysis(RNA-seq, R Studio), GEPIA۲, ENCORI, RNA extraction,cDNA synthesis and real-time PCR analysis were performed.Results: Potential CRC biomarkers identified in the bioinformaticsanalyses were examined using a real-time PCR techniqueto measure their expression. LncRNA SLC۱۲A۵-AS۱displays a striking up-regulation in the CRC samples, accordingto bioinformatics and experimental investigations.
