چکیده مقاله:

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common malignanciesaffecting women worldwide. MYC is a well-knownoncogene that plays a role in breast cancer development andprogression. MYC proto-oncogene is a key regulator of cellgrowth and proliferation, upregulation of which is commonlyobserved in cancer. Recent studies have shown that miRNAsplay an important role in regulating MYC expression.Materials and Methods: A list of miRNAs that interact withMYC was prepared from the miRTargetLink ۲.۰ and TargetScandatabases. The sequences of these miRNAs were obtainedfrom mirbase database. MYC sequence in FASTA format wasobtained from NCBI database and its ۳'UTR region was determined. Finally, the interaction of each of the miRNAs and the۳'UTR of the MYC gene was observed using the RNAhybriddatabase. DianaTools mirPath database was also used to studythe metabolic pathways and signaling related to these miRNAs.Results: miR-۳۲۴-۳p, miR-۵۱۲-۵p, miR-۹۴۰, miR-۱۲۴۸ andmiR-۳۴a-۵p have the potential to target MYC transcript. Thedata obtained from DianaTools showed us that miR-۳۴a-۵p andmiR-۳۲۴-۳p are involved in cancer signaling specifically theNotch pathway. Conclusion: It seems that modulation of expression levels ofmiRNAs targeting MYC could provide a promising therapeuticapproach for breast cancer. Therefore, this study was conductedwith the aim of predicting miRNAs that target MYC and theirpotential therapeutic value in the treatment of breast cancer.
