چکیده مقاله:

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a malignant disease with a high incidenceand low survival rate, and the success of traditional treatments, such as surgery and radiotherapy, is very limited. Metabolicreprogramming plays a critical role in colorectal cancer. Itcontributes to CRC by shaping metabolic phenotypes and causinguncontrolled proliferation of CRC cells. Glucose metabolicreprogramming is common in colorectal cancer initiation andprogression. CircRNAs, a kind of stable endogenous noncodingRNA, generally function by sponging miRNAs and binding ortranslating proteins. CircRNAs have been identified to play animportant role in regulating the proliferation and metabolism ofCRC. These circRNAs potentially can be used as a therapeutictarget o prognostic biomarker in CRC. In this review, we summarizedthe notable role of circRNAs in regulating glucose metabolismin CRC in recent years, which might be valuable forfinding new targets for the clinical treatment of CRC.
