Determining the factors related to the occurrence of crime and sports violence in sports science students

The occurrence of crime is one of the phenomena of societies that the authorities of each country always try to reduce.In general, the occurrence of crime and violence is caused by various social, economic and cultural factors and can lead to financial and human losses and consequences and create exorbitant social costs.The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the occurrence of crime and sports violence in students of Mashhad universities.The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of type. The statistical population of the study consisted of all students of universities in Khorasan Razavi province, which is ۳۵۰۰ people.Using stratified random sampling method, a sample of ۲۵۰ people was selected using Morgan sample size estimation table based on stratified selection.In order to collect data in this study, a questionnaire of factors affecting the occurrence of crime and violence in sports based on research background in five dimensions of social, cultural and economic, political and personal factors of crime was used.The results showed that the factors identified in the statistical model have a significant fit and in examining the status of each shows a relatively significant prevalence of these factors among sports science students.Also, the most important priorities of the factors related to the occurrence of crime and violence in sports are related to the economic factorcomponent, and the components of individual factor social factorpolitical factorand cultural factor are in the second to fifth priorities.The results show that the motivation of sports participation and its components are very important from the students point of view and there is also a significant priority between the components of sports participation motivation.The most important priorities of the motivational components of sports participation are related to the component of groupism and the components of skill improvement energy drain making friendsquot;fun& situational factors readiness and Success are in the second to eighth priorities.
