The relationship between peace of mind and mental well-being with academic achievement

The issue of health has been raised since the beginning of human beings for many centuries, but when it comes to it, its physical dimension is generally considered and less attention is paid to other dimensions of health, especially its psychological dimension. The World Health Organization, while paying attention to the officials of the countries in order to ensure the physical, mental and social health of the people of the society, always emphasizes that each of these three dimensions is not superior to the other. It is very important to study the factors affecting the academic achievement of students who are the smartest people and future makers of society. Mental health is one of the most important dimensions of health, security of mind and peace in all aspects of life can have a positive relationship. In the present research, the relationship between mental health and academic achievement in adolescents was investigated. The research adopted meta-analysis model to investigate the relationship between these two phenomena. In the meta-analysis, ۱۳ independent studies were included, and their data were combined to display effect sizes. According to the result of the research, it was indicated that there was a positive relationship between mental health and academic achievement. Also, it was revealed that there was no significant relationship within sub-group variation in the relationship between mental health and academic achievement in terms of year of publication, publication type, community, and sample size, but not the setting.
