چکیده مقاله:

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a malignant (cancerous) brain tumor that develops from a specific type of brain cellcalled an astrocyte. Glioblastomas are often very aggressive and grow into surrounding brain tissue In mostcases, the exact underlying cause is unknown. There is currently no cure for glioblastoma. Treatment ispalliative and may include surgery, radiation therapy, and/or chemotherapy. Therefore, this study aimed toidentify the genetic biomarkers for GBM with the concentration on the expression of BRCA۱. This study isa theoretical type of bioinformatics, by referring to related databases including GEPIA۲, genecards, mirwalk,mirdsnp, mirnasnp. Probably, the overexpression of BRCA۱, has-miR-۱۴۳ and has-miR-۵۰۴ have aneffective role in case of tumor survival. Increaseing the expression of BRCA۱ increases the risk oftumorigenesis and metastasis while decreasing its expression reduces the number of cells involved inglioblastoma. It can possibly be used as a diagnostic confirmatory marker and predictor of cancer progressionby increasing metastasis, reducing intercellular adhesion, and inhibiting cell death.
