چکیده مقاله:
Pulmonary arterial hypertension also known as ascites syndrome (AS) in broilers is a metabolic disorder disease which has been observed in fast-growing broilers. It has been estimated that ۸% of broiler deaths annually due to AS which cause significant economic losses in industry. Evidence demonstrates that AS related to management, nutritional, environmental and genetic factors. AS is polygenic disease that is controlled by several genes. Previous studies indicated that the CCDC۱۴۱ is a candidate gene involved in AS. The aim of this study was investigation the role of CCDC۱۴۱ in AS via SNP analyzing. To achieve this goal, DNA samples isolated from the liver tissue of ۱۲۶ birds using the salting-out method. Then, the desired regions were genotyped using the single-strand structural polymorphic (SSCP). The results indicated that ۸ variants were located in the desired region (exons ۳, ۷ and ۱۵). Statistical analysis showed that a mutation (rs۳۱۴۶۱۴۱۰۵) in exon ۷ of CCDC۱ ۴۱ gene had a significant association with ventricular weight index (P-Value ≤۰.۶). The finding suggests that the mutation (rs۳۱۴۶۱۴۱۰۵) which could effect protein structure and/or function of CCDC۱۴۱. The results of this study can be used in breeding programs to reduce ascites syndrome.
