Applying Delphi Method in decision-making: Selection of Architectural Optimization Problem case study: Extension and Renovation of Baharloo Hospital

This research aims to depict the application of the Delphi Method systematically. This research utilizes the experts' choice in a real case study, which is the process of selecting the proper architectural optimization problem in the extension and renovation of a hospital. The objective is to demonstrate the challenges in applying this method, how the problem should be stated, and which qualities experts should have, and how data should be collected and analyzed. In the Case Study, applying optimization by computer aid was the main objective of the extension and renovation of Baharloo hospital. Therefore, based on the literature review, a questionnaire with ۲۰ questions was provided. Then, by the Delphi method, the fundamental architectural problem in this particular case was determined and then utilized in the design process. By this method, a reliable consensus among the selected expert panelist for a specific problem could be achieved
