Innovation Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises: The Impact of Dynamic Capabilities

Complex conditions require all companies to move in an innovation-oriented direction and develop their operations in order to survive. Here, dynamic capabilities as key variables in competitive conditions can help companies to continue to operate; Because they provide favorable conditions for the development of companies' performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of dynamic capabilities on the innovation performance of small and medium enterprises in one of the provinces of Iran. To investigate this issue, the structural equation modeling method and the partial least squares method have been used. This study has examined the research hypotheses with the opinions of managers of 172 small and medium companies. Our findings support the hypothesis that dynamic capabilities directly affect innovation performance. In general, all dynamic capabilities (integration, learning and reconfiguration) play an important and effective role in improving the innovation performance of small and medium enterprises, which can help in strategic decisions for managers.
