WIMAX The Innovation Technology in Iran

Iran Telecom is a nationally owned and run company serving a population of approximately 40 million customers. Iran Telecom is responsible for all telecommunication and IT matters in Iran e.g.: Fiber optic cabling, satellite communications, standard telephone services, mobile phone services, etc. A new technology called WiMax is on its way to the market. WiMax promises:[1] • Up to a ten (10) mile range without Broadband speeds without cable or T1 Handles last mile access in remote areas • Affordable technology • WiMAX as a solution for developing e government The different technologies that have come into being through this advancement process have been studied to clearly identify what characteristics differentiate WiMax from others. Iran Telecom can use WiMax for the following purposes: • Fixed network environments • Wireless Wide Area NetworksA, and so on. After detailed review of a typical WiMax network the financial aspects of deploying such network show that this technology is so cost effective for Iran telecom.
