Insight on the Lens Selection Techniques with Application on Industrial Instrumentation

The precision of image based measurement, like dimensional measurement and pattern recognition, depends on the quality of raw picture. Right selection of lens and camera influences on the raw picture quality. In this work, a further insight on the lens selection is made and the most important issues to match the lens and camera are discussed. The aim is to optimize the picture quality and minimize the measurement error.
