چکیده مقاله:

Many researchers and theoreticians during the history tend to find out the nature and effect of truth, lie and politics on human being’s life. The analysis tends to be done on Eric Emmanuel Schmitt’s play, Partners in Crime, in the light of Hanna Arendt’s theories of truth and politics. From the Arendt’s idea, truth and politics are on rather bad terms with each other, and lies have always been regarded as necessary to politicians. Also she believed reality is different from the totality of facts and events, which, anyhow, is unascertainable. Schmitt’s play is a narrative about finding and discovering the truth of a married couple. In the following, both instructive and productive outcomes of truth, lie and politics along, chosen by Schmitt to represent characters, will be evaluated.
