Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), due to their low cost and easy communications, are now used in many applications for monitoring activities in a variety of environments.Wireless sensor networks have a large number of energy-restricted sensor nodes scattered in a limited geographic area. The sensors in these networks use a limited power supply, which, after the completion of these, will end the life of the network due to the non-revitalization of these resources. Therefore, one of the important issues in these networks is the removal of energy resources constraints and increasing the network lifetime.Clustering protocols provide suitable methods for increasing the network lifetime, but they impose high energy consumption on the head of each cluster, so that the protocol should change the cluster configuration and the header of each cluster to increase the network lifetime of each cluster.However, it is not always possible to select the best node for header grouping in clustering protocols, despite the implementation of a good algorithm. LEACH is a self-organized protocol with dynamic categorization.In this paper, an algorithm called BN-LEACH is used to correct the LEACH algorithm, in which the cluster head calculates Bayesian network based on three factors: distance to base station (BS), residual energy, and density.In the following, simulation results using MATLAB software show that the BN-LEACH protocol in comparison with the LEACH and LEACH-C protocols results in a balanced energy consumption of the sensor node, the lifetime of the network, and the expansion of the death of the first node.
