چکیده مقاله:

Data centers play an important role in telecommunication systems. Architecture and the type of cold air distributer are the most important operation indexes of data center. In this paper the data hall of telecommunication center in Marand is simulated by CFD method as a sample of telecommunication data center of Iran. The aim is to reduce the energy consumption of data center by improving the cooling efficiency and air distribution. Design factors influence the efficiency of air flow in the IT server room; therefore different factors of design are studied and efficient indexes are extracted. Available indexes such as SHI, RHI, RCI and RTI are investigated for different models. Each index indicates specific aspect of operation in the cooling systems; therefore it’s essential to introduce a comprehensive cooling index to assess cooling operation of data center. Numerical results which obtained for this index are compared, the models are ranked and the optimized model is introduced.
