CF-Vet: A Web-based Diagnosis System for Cold Fish Diseases in Iran

Objective: An assistant system for web-based cold fish disease diagnosis expert system. Method & Materials: To better meet the needs of farmers, an analysis in form questionnaires are designed to investigate the farmer’s problems and needs. To collect and store knowledge of disease symptom, which is very important for the expert system, the symptom submission form is used in asynchronous diagnosis system. This can direct the farmers to provide the useful information of fish disease. The diagnosis conclusion form also has the same function as a symptom submission form. Another benefit of asynchronous diagnosis system is that fish vets and fish farmers can read old messages as often as they need. Results & Conclusion: Asynchronous diagnosis system and web-based expert system for cold fish disease diagnosis are believed to be more useful than synchronous diagnosis system for farmers in Iran.
