چکیده مقاله:

Teacher education and teacher related issues are of great significance in second language learning process. This study investigated the relationship between EFL teachers EQ and professionalism. The participants of this research were 90EFL teachers at English language institutes in Tehran province. Data was collected through two kinds ofquestionnaires (filled by the participants): EQ questionnaire, and professionalism questionnaire. After checking thenormality of the gathered data, and using SPSS version 23, the Spearman coefficient of correlation was used to find theresearch objective. The results proved a statistically significant and positive correlation between Iranian EFL teachers EQ and professionalism. The finding of the present study could be beneficial for second language teacher education courses.
