Producing energy from municipal solid waste is developing due to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy recovery, creating income for waste management, landfill reduction. Biogas consists of 40 to 60 percent methane, 40 to 50 carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen.In addition, biogas contains high concentrations of volatile compounds of methyl siloxane (VMS) that even in low concentrations cause serious damage to the environment anddevices utilizing energy. To determine the level and type of siloxane compounds in biogas pipes according to standard methods NIOSH1501 time (20min) and the appropriate rate (0.1L) was selected.Sampling was made by absorbing glass tubes containing activated charcoal. The results showed that the silicon compounds contained in biogas production, including D4, D5, L3, siloxane and the TMS.The concentration of siloxane compounds in both old and new biogas sites were in the range of 0.5 to 9ppm.D4 and D5 cyclic organic silicon compounds were greatest in biogas composition.
