چکیده مقاله:

With the new technology and the emergence of new words and concepts, translators have to incorporate globalization into their daily practices. Indeed, translation can bridge the gapbetween peoples and nations, and develop globalization in a more effective way towards understanding and integrating different societies and cultures. The study aims at: 1) Determiningthe extent to which literary works have been translated from English language into Persianlanguage and vice versa, 2) Examining the relationship between the translated literary works and the nationality of the translators, 3) Examining the relationship between the quality of translatedworks from English into Persian and from Persian into English, and 4) Exploring the extent to which the translation of literary works between English language and Persian language influence globalization. The corpus of the study included the list of translations and were gathered fromvalid resources like Iran Central Library. Professional translators and readers from both English and Persian languages also participated to see the extent to which translation affects globalization. The results of the study showed that the total number of literary works translatedfrom English language into Persian language was 9996 translations and those of Persian language into English language was just 2784. The results from Chi-square confirmed that there was a significant difference between translation works and the nationalities of the translators.Translators are recommended to pay more attention to the literature and fine arts of our country and try to translate from Persian language into other languages notably into English language.
