A review on decision support for application migration to the cloud

The emergence of new technologies in virtualization and hosting of the application and numerous advantages of cloud computing leads to persuade many application developers to migrate their applications to the Cloud. Furthermore Cloud users will not be worried about provisioning computational resource and low-level hardware management and its associated complexity. In spite of this, when choosing Cloud providers, developers must consider a set of criteria and complex dependencies between several components, which are hard to decide manually, are important issues. To overcome these challenges, researchers design several tools which improve the decision-making process specifically based on factors and criteria. In this work, we presented a survey about available tools that aim to support decision making during the migration of application to the cloud.
