Review of Decentralization in the Health Management inShiraz University of Medical Sciences

In this study, researchers examined the organizational factorsinfluencing the decision-making system is Shiraz University ofMedical Sciences. The study sample consisted of 500 managers ofwhich 230 of them were selected by simple random sampling. Thisstudy in term of aim is applied and in term of method correlation isresearcher has used a questionnaire to collect information. Toanalyze the data descriptive statistics (mean, frequency andstandard deviation) and inferential statistical methods (regression,analysis of variance and independent t-test) were used.The resultsshowed the acceptance of the main hypothesis of this study thatthere is a significant relationship between organizational factorsinfluencing the decision making (management style, features ofdelegation and location of the organization) and decentralization inhealth management. In determining the components of effectivedecentralization also using stepwise regression from the first to theninth stage, manager tolerance of ambiguity, mental ability,interest in the job and the importance of keeping it lower toleranceof ambiguity, positive perception and attitude of the manager to asubordinate, the type of tasks, size, clarity of policies and programsand align individual and organizational goals has showed largestshare in better decentralization in health management. It alsofeatures with the most influential dimensions delegates andlocation of organization was diagnosed.
