The relationship between job stress, job satisfaction, and quality of work life in Iran Premier League soccer referees

چکیده مقاله:

Background: The aim of this research was determining the relationship among job stress, job satisfaction and quality of work life of football primary league Referees. Materials and methods: It is correlation and statistical population was all football premier league Referees. Hence, the total number of sampling were used and totally 71 questionnaires were gathered. Job stress questionnaire of Astaytmntz, JDI questionnaireand Walton quality of work life questionnaire for collecting data were used. Theirvalidity was subscribed by 10 specialist teachers of sport management. Reliability ofquestionnaire also was calculated by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (Job stress: 0.83, QWL: 0.85, JDI: 0.88).The analysis of data was assessed in two distinct levels: descriptive and inference (Kolmogorov smirnov Test, Linear regression). Results and discussion: The results showed that there is a significant inverserelationship between job stress and job satisfaction (t=-2.19, P= 0.03),quality of worklife(t=-6.12, P= 0.001), adequate and fair compensation (t=-4.67, P= 0.001), constitutionalism in the organization (t=-6.62, P= 0.011), the social relevance of worklife (t=-6.69, P= 0.009), total life space(t=-3.36, P= 0.001), social integration in the organization(t=-4.12, P= 0.001) and human progress capabilities (t=-4.67, P=0.001).There is a significant relationship between job satisfaction and quality of work life(t=3.20, P= 0.002), adequate and fair compensation (t=2.98, P= 0.004), constitutionalism in the organization (t=3.51, P= 0.001), total life space (t=2.75, P=0.008), social integration in the organization (t=3.85, P= 0.001) and human progress capabilities (t=3.50, P= 0.001). Also there is not significant relationship between jobstress and safe and healthy working and opportunity for continued growth and security. There is not significant relationship between job satisfaction and safe and healthyworking, opportunity for continued growth and security, and the social relevance of work life. Conclusion: Totally we can increase quality of work life of football primary league Referees with decreasing their job stress and increasing their job satisfaction.
