چکیده مقاله:

Limits of deformation of sheet with a circular hole, under axial and biaxial tensile tests, have been extensively studied by engineers and researchers as a criterion of ductile formability. Therefore numerous numerical and experimental attempts and analyses have been reported. One of the most important challenges confronting the researchers is the prediction of crack initiation and fracture. In this paper, by using a ductile damage model, instance and location of crack onset, propagation and ductile rupture in axial, biaxial tensile tests of drilled sheet have been predicted. Model is coupled with Von Mises plastic criterion and is based on damage evolution. Finite element simulations are performed and compared with experimental tests. It will be shown that numerical results are in good agreement with reported experimental. It is concluded that analysis of damage evolution can be used as a robust and reliable tool to predict ductile formability and forming limits of materials.
