Introduction of Synthetic Fibers in Concrete and Durability Evaluation with Emphasis on Forta Polymer Fibers

In the present essay, first the concrete sustainability and durability is implied and the different perspectives on the durability are mentioned, while the durability tests is required in this context. In addition, the effort is made to evaluate these tests in relation to the direct or indirect concrete durability.Afterward, the synthetic fibers are introduced for the concrete application and the different types of the synthetic fibers are discussed in the concrete applications and their advantages and how they are used, especially in Iran and finally, some comparative tables are presented in relation to the resistance and the total costs of the different synthetic fibers used in concrete. The data collection method includes library, notes, documentary studies, books, and literatures as the descriptive analytical research method is used. Finally, some parameters are presented to achieve durability in concrete and the characteristics on optimized application of the synthetic fibers in concrete.
