Fuzzy decision making in offshore structures

Because of the complexity and importance of different aspects of offshore engineering and the growing of oil exploration and demands for reliable and safe structures in this industry using intelligent systems from designing to installing and supervising etc. has become prevalent. Some of these systems are based on fuzzy logic theory which‘s made it possible to alter linguistic expressions into classic and mathematical expressions. A fuzzy decision making system is one of its useful facilities which makes managing and manipulating of different knowledge sources easier. The aim of this study is to briefly investigate different researches on fuzzy decision making systems by focusing on its applications in offshore industry.
