چکیده مقاله:

این مقاله در صدد مسئله سازی «حسابداری برای تنوع زیستی» و ایجاد چارچوبی برای تحلیل و درک نقش حسابداری در حفظ و بهبود تنوع زیستی روی کره زمین است. مقاله قصد بالا بردن آگاهی را بخاطر نیاز مبرم به بررسی مسئله از دست دادن و انقراض تنوع زیستی و نیاز به مسئولیت (ذیحسابی) مؤسسات در قبال نقش شان در ایجاد بحران اخیر تنوع زیستی با محاسبه سیاست ها و استراتژی های وابسته به تنوع زیستی شان دارد. تصور می شود که چنین حسابداریی، آزادی بخش است و به ایجاد تغییر در نگرش ها و رفتار شرکتی منجر شود.احساس می شود که مسائل زیربنایی حسابداری برای تنوع زیستی در چهار طبقه گسترده تقسیم می شوند: مسائل علمی و فلسفی، مسائل ذیحسابی، مسائل حسابداری فنی و مسائل حرفه حسابداری.این مقاله حالت رایج حسابداری را با استفاده از رویکرد میان رشته ای خلاصه می کند و همچنین چارچوبی را جهت شناسایی مسائل مختلف مربوط به حسابداری برای تنوع زیستی در اختیار می گذارد.
