چکیده مقاله:

In this paper, stresses and displacement in isotropic pressurized thick-walled cylindrical pressure vessels made of functionally graded material are obtained by using the theory of elasticity. All material properties such as Poisson’s ratio and module of elasticity are considered in three models as function of the radius of the cylinder. The numerical solution of the Navier equation is presented for the conditions of plane strain and plane stress. As far as has been observed, until now, in the papers which are dedicated to investigation of functionally graded material, the Poisson’s ratio is assumed constant; however, in this paper is observed, by assuming varying Poisson’s ratio in thick-walled cylindrical pressure vessels made of functionally graded materials and comparing results obtained by fixing this parameter, that taking the Poisson’s ratio as a constant value is not wrong and varying it have not significant effects on the stresses and displacement.
