چکیده مقاله:

Background:Rapid advancements in educational technologies have profoundly transformed clinical nursing education. Traditional teaching methods are increasingly challenged by complex clinical environments, patient safety demands, and the necessity for high-level clinical decision-making. Innovative technology-based educational approaches—including simulation-based learning, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), mobile learning applications, serious games, and learning management systems—have emerged as promising strategies to enhance clinical competence, critical thinking, and learner engagement among nursing students and practicing nurses. Objective:This systematic review aimed to synthesize current evidence on novel technology-based educational methods used in clinical nursing education and evaluate their effectiveness on learning outcomes, clinical skills acquisition, decision-making ability, and learner satisfaction. Methods: A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, CINAHL, and ERIC databases for studies published between ۲۰۱۵ and ۲۰۲۵. Keywords included nursing education, clinical education, technology-based learning, simulation, virtual reality, mobile learning, and artificial intelligence. Eligible studies included randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, and mixed-methods research focusing on clinical nursing education. The PRISMA guidelines were followed for study selection. Methodological quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tools. Results:A total of ۴۲ studies met the inclusion criteria. The most frequently utilized technologies were high-fidelity simulation (۳۸%), mobile-based learning platforms (۲۴%), virtual or augmented reality (۲۱%), and AI-supported adaptive learning systems (۱۷%). Most studies reported significant improvements in clinical competence, psychomotor skills, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making accuracy compared with traditional teaching methods. Simulation and VR-based interventions were particularly effective in enhancing patient safety competencies and confidence in high-risk clinical scenarios. Learner satisfaction and engagement were consistently higher in technology-enhanced programs. However, variations in study design, outcome measures, and intervention duration limited cross-study comparability.
