چکیده مقاله:

There is a growing need to use green and efficient larvicidal as alternatives for conventional chemicals in vector control programs. For the first time, Cinnamomum zeylanicum essential oil was prepared to evaluate its larvicidal properties against Anopheles stephensi larvae. The components of C. zeylanicum essential oil were identified by GC–MS analysis. ۶۱ components were determined, with ۵ major components including including ۲-Propenal, ۳-phenyl (۵۶.۸۰۳ %), Linalool (۶.۳۱۰%), dl-Limonene (۶.۲۳۷%), trans-Caryophyllene (۴.۶۹۷%) and Phenol, ۲-methoxy-۴-(۲-propenyl) (۳.۸۹۵%). The LC۹۰ and LC۵۰ values of C. zeylanicum essential oil was calculated as ۴۹ ppm and ۳۷ ppm using probit analysis, respectively. In conclusion, the essential oil of C. zeylanicum showed potential in obtaining a green larvicide.
