Innovative, evidence-based nursing interventions have the potential to improve wound outcomes and reduce infection-related complications. Aim: This study explored the impact of evidence-based nursing interventions on infection prevention in patients with complex wounds. Methods: A descriptive-analytical study was conducted among nurses working in surgical and intensive care units. Data were collected using a wound care performance checklist and infection surveillance records. Nurses received targeted training on innovative wound care techniques. Results: Following the educational intervention, nurses’ adherence to infection prevention standards significantly improved (p < ۰.۰۰۱), accompanied by a noticeable reduction in wound infection rates. Conclusion: Evidence-based and innovative nursing approaches enhance the quality of wound care and effectively reduce infection risk. Continuous professional education is essential for sustaining these outcomes.
