چکیده مقاله:

Objective: This meta-analysis evaluates the effectiveness of Schema Therapy (ST) for adults with treatment-resistant Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD). Despite the success of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), approximately ۵۰% of patients do not achieve full remission, necessitating alternative interventions like ST. Methods: A systematic search of Google Scholar, PubMed, and SID was conducted for studies published between ۲۰۲۰ and ۲۰۲۵. Ten studies (N=۴۷۰) meeting inclusion criteria were analyzed. Effect sizes (Cohen’s d) were calculated for social anxiety symptoms, early maladaptive schemas (EMS), and schema modes. Results: The pooled effect size for ST on social anxiety symptoms was d = ۰.۹۰ (۹۵% CI: ۰.۸۱, ۱.۰۰), indicating a large and significant clinical effect. ST also showed significant improvements in EMS (d = ۰.۸۵) and adaptive modes (d = ۰.۷۵). Forest plots and funnel plots suggest robust effectiveness across diverse clinical settings, including individual and group formats. Conclusion: Schema Therapy is a highly effective intervention for patients who have not responded to traditional CBT. Its focus on developmental origins and emotional modes provides a comprehensive framework for addressing the core pathologies of social anxiety.
