چکیده مقاله:

Climate change, as one of the most significant challenges of the current century, has had extensive impacts on agricultural systems, particularly on the production of strategic crops such as rice. Rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, intensified extreme events such as droughts and floods, and decreasing water resources have increased the vulnerability of rice production systems, especially in irrigation-dependent regions. In this context, resilience emerges as a key approach to maintaining production sustainability, farmers’ livelihoods, and food security. The present study aims to identify and explain the components of resilience in rice production systems, with an emphasis on climate change. This research is descriptive-analytical in nature, and its conceptual framework is based on the three-dimensional resilience model, including robustness, adaptability, and transformability. A systematic review of domestic and international scientific literature was conducted to operationalize this framework. The findings indicate that rice production systems, particularly in Mazandaran Province, face significant challenges under climate change, including reduced water resources, decreased yields, increased production risks, and heightened vulnerability of small-scale farmers. The key resilience components identified include sustainable water resource management, cultivation of stress-tolerant varieties, diversification of farming activities, improved market access, strengthening of social capital, and enhancement of institutional capacities. The results of this study can provide a foundation for the development of policies and practical strategies aimed at enhancing the resilience of rice production systems, improving farmers’ livelihoods, and strengthening food security under changing climatic conditions.
