The Impact of Green Supply Chain Management on Organizational Innovation and Its Consequences for Organizational Performance

The increasing importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility has encouraged manufacturing organizations to adopt Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices. While previous studies have examined the direct relationship between GSCM and organizational performance, limited attention has been paid to understanding the mechanism through which green supply chain practices improve performance. This study aims to investigate the mediating role of Organizational Innovation in the relationship between Green Supply Chain Management and Organizational Performance. This research is applied in terms of purpose and quantitative in terms of methodology. The statistical population consists of managers and experts working in manufacturing industries of Fars Province, Iran. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that Green Supply Chain Management positively influences Organizational Innovation. Furthermore, Organizational Innovation has a significant positive effect on Organizational Performance. The results confirm that Organizational Innovation plays a mediating role between Green Supply Chain Management and Organizational Performance. The findings suggest that organizations can achieve sustainable competitive advantages by integrating environmental supply chain strategies with innovation capabilities.
