Intelligent Consensus: How AI-Enhanced Blockchain Systems Are Revolutionizing Decision-Making in BRICS DeFi Ecosystems

This paper unleashes the transformative promise of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies in informing decision-making within Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystems, with special reference to BRICS economies. From a vantage point of an overarching survey of current deployments and discovery platforms, we delineate how AI algorithms—specifically machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics—have the potential to optimize consensus mechanisms, risk analysis, fraud detection, and resource allocation within blockchain networks. Our research approach combines qualitative comparison between existing systems and quantitative comparison between experimental deployments performance indicators. The findings show that AI-powered blockchain systems can achieve up to ۳۷% more efficiency in transaction verification, ۴۲% more fraud detection accuracy, and significant energy consumption savings over traditional blockchain deployments. We also suggest a novel framework for federated learning deployment across decentralized networks with privacy protection and collective intelligence for BRICS financial institutions. The study concludes that strategic AI-blockchain deployment can render financial collaboration between BRICS substantively resilient and address novel issues of blockchain scalability, security, and governance.
