The objective of this paper is to propose an innovative approach to reforming monetary and fiscal policies, as well as economic governance, in BRICS member states. In this context, the potential of integrating blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has been identified through a library-based methodology and comparative analysis. Leveraging the combined capabilities of these two technologies, a conceptual model for smart economic governance is proposed for BRICS countries, including Iran.By integrating blockchain and AI, this model outlines a pioneering framework through which BRICS members can address structural economic challenges such as dependency on Western financial systems, corruption, and macroeconomic instability. The establishment of a BRICS blockchain network within this model enables a decentralized infrastructure for secure cross-border transactions, offering an alternative to U.S. dollar-dominated systems. This transparent framework—jointly managed by member states—utilizes smart contracts and digital tokens to simplify trade settlements and enhance financial interoperability while reducing intermediary costs.Furthermore, AI-powered tools, employing machine learning and neural networks, can analyze extensive macroeconomic datasets to forecast risks such as inflation, currency volatility, and financial crises. This predictive capacity facilitates the real-time adjustment of preventive measures and the optimization of monetary and fiscal strategies, thereby enhancing the responsiveness and resilience of BRICS economies.
