De-Dollarization and the Integration of the Physical Economy with Blockchain

This article explores the topic of de-dollarization and the integration of the physical economy with blockchain. These two subjects are remarkably complementary and encompass both the macroeconomic dimension and the operational aspects of technology and business models. In fact, the issue of de-dollarization and the integration of the physical economy with blockchain through the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) stands as one of the most interdisciplinary and vital matters at the convergence of macroeconomics, monetary policy, blockchain technology, and business model innovation. These two dimensions are closely interwoven, and their synergy has transformative potential. To achieve a comprehensive perspective, up-to-date sources and data from reputable news, economic, and international reports such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank reports, and regional economic analyses have been used for data collection and economic analysis. Also, the combination of qualitative methods (to examine economic and technological phenomena) and quantitative analysis (to examine their effects on economic indicators and global financial systems), and the use of data simulation for statistical analysis and assessment of short-term and long-term trends and impacts was essential to complete this paper. The strategy of de-dollarization and the integration of the physical economy with blockchain via real-world asset tokenization not only enhances currency independence and innovative capacity in financial systems, but also improves transparency, efficiency, and access to financing. However, the long-term success of this model requires precise coordination among legal institutions, financial regulators, and technology developers to ensure economic stability while unlocking the full potential of emerging digital opportunities.
