چکیده مقاله:
Wireless sensor networks consist of a large number of sensor nodes that are scattered in an environment. This type of network is a suitable means for collecting and sending environmental information or informing the occurrence of an event to a central node. These networks have their own characteristics, properties and limitations that distinguish sensor networks from other networks. A sensor network consists of a large number of sensor nodes that are widely distributed in an environment and collect information from the environment. The location of the sensor nodes is not necessarily predetermined and known. Such a feature allows us to leave them in dangerous or inaccessible places. These sensors collect information from the surrounding environment and, based on some decision-making processes, they are able to transmit the sensed data to the user. Of course, the location of the sensors is not known in advance, so there is no limitation in this regard, and this feature has led to their use in dangerous and sensitive environments. Wireless sensor networks (WSN) as a new technology in collecting information from different environments have many applications in different fields. One of the main challenges in these networks is increasing their reliability and efficiency. Clustering is one of the effective methods for improving the performance of these networks. In the following, we will examine the role of clustering in increasing the reliability of wireless sensor networks.
