چکیده مقاله:
This study examined the effectiveness of a ۱۲-week web-based game intervention on motor and social skills in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Forty autistic boys aged ۷–۱۰ were randomly assigned to either an experimental group that received the intervention or a control group. The intervention, delivered via WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram, focused on fundamental motor skills and was facilitated by parents through structured video sessions. Participants completed ۶۰ sessions over three months, totaling ۷۲۰ minutes of guided physical activity. Pre- and post-tests were conducted using the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOTMP) and the Vineland Social Development Scale. Results showed significant improvements in the experimental group across all motor and social skill domains, including running speed, balance, coordination, self-help abilities, and socialization (P < ۰.۰۵). Analysis of covariance revealed that ۸۲% of the improvement in motor skills and ۸۰% in social skills could be attributed to the intervention. These findings support the feasibility and effectiveness of accessible, parent-mediated web-based programs in promoting holistic development in children with ASD. The study highlights the value of digital platforms in overcoming logistical and social barriers to therapy, especially during times such as the COVID-۱۹ pandemic.
